THE CHALLENGE
I made a spec ad for Dalston’s Soda Co. using only AI tools. Here’s how. No crew. No studio. No budget. Just a clear creative vision, the right prompts, and a obsession with consistency.
Here’s what the workflow looked like:
🎯 The brief: A 15-second cinematic brand film for Dalston’s Cherry — a real, growing UK craft soda brand with serious soul and an underrated visual identity. 🖼️
Step 1 — Hero stills Every shot started as an AI-generated image. I used the actual product packaging as a reference so the can stayed consistent across every single frame. 9 shots. 9 moods. One visual world.
🎬 Step 2 — Bringing them to life Each still became a video clip with its own camera movement — orbit shots, crash zooms, slow-motion pours, handheld street energy. Every clip was generated with a start frame and end frame so the motion had intention, not just randomness.
🔗 Step 3 — The full film All 9 references fed into a single 15-second multishot sequence with smash cuts, whip pans, speed ramps and full sound design. Dark UK club energy meets premium beverage commercial.
